Hi everyone,
I’m planning a home renovation and looking to install a VELUX window on a low-pitch roof (around 12°). I’ve seen some conflicting information about which models are officially compatible at that pitch without risking leaks or voiding warranties.
Has anyone installed a VELUX on a similar roof angle? Did you need special EDL/EDW flashing kits or adaptors to make it work?
Ideally, I’m aiming for a center-pivot model with good thermal performance and a clean look.
Any advice, product suggestions, or installation tips would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Jhonn Mick

Hello Jhonn,
There’s a few options for low pitch but generally the best is the GBL low pitch variant. Most low pitch roofs use a pair of GBL SK06 windows.
Please ensure your roof tile is compatible with your roof pitch as well, we have more issues with under pitched tiles than windows since the advent of the low pitch variant
